Description
S3 2075 offers an enhanced formulation designed for installation over concrete with 97% RH or less (absent of hydrostatic pressure). S3 2075 is a high quality, high strength, pressure sensitive adhesive used for the installation of S3's or non-vinyl backed carpet tiles. S3 2075 can be applied by roller or trowel depending on installation requirements. Installation Instructions
The substrate must be structurally sound, clean, dry, smooth, and level. This product is for interior installation only. For more detailed instructions, refer to S3 Installation Guidelines and the CRI Installation Standard.
Check Moisture Level & pH
Do not begin installation over concrete substrates that do not meet the following requirements:
- Moisture: Relative Humidity results must be below 97% (ASTM F2170). Calcium chloride test cannot exceed 6.0 lbs. per 1000 sq ft per 24 hours (ASTM F1869).
- pH: Results must range between 6.0 and 11.0 (ASTM F710). Take corrective measures if results exceed these limits.
- Temperature: Substrate and adhesive temperature should be within 5 degrees of each other.

Environmental
Surface Preparation
The substrate must be structurally sound, clean, dry, smooth, solid and stable.
- All substrates must be completely free of dust, dirt, paint, oil, curing or release agents, unapproved sealers or existing adhesives.
- Use only S3 Unglu'd or mechanical means to remove existing adhesives, then finish removal with S3 Surface Prep EXT until bare concrete is exposed.
- For new, 24-hour-old concrete floors or existing floors with high moisture/pH, apply S3 MoistureShield, MRP, or 125 moisture vapor barriers.
- Fill depressions or cracks with S3 QuikFil or S3 Barrier patching/leveling compound (≥3,000 psi compressive strength).
Suitable Substrates
- Concrete — above, on grade or below grade (up to 97% RH when used with S3 moisture products and floor patch)
- APA registered plywood underlayment when primed with acrylic primer
- VCT, terrazzo or polished concrete
- Vinyl floor covering over 1 year old, adhered with full spread of adhesive
Dry Time
Flash is the waiting time required before installing flooring. Working time is the window of time the adhesive will accept the tile. Times may vary based on temperature, humidity, substrate porosity, application method and jobsite conditions.

Apply, Roll & Protect
Limitations
- Do not use where hydrostatic pressure, excessive moisture, or alkali is present.
- New concrete less than 24 hours old can be treated with S3 MoistureTek and allowed to dry. Concrete older than 24 hours should cure 60–90 days minimum.
- Do not use when the temperature is below 50°F (10°C).
- Freeze/thaw stable to 10°F (−12°C) for a minimum of 5 cycles. If frozen, slowly bring to room temperature and stir before using.
Use only when the substrate temperature is between 50°F and 90°F (10°C and 32°C).
